A beautiful Belle Epoque brooch made in France during the early 20th Century. The piece has an elaborate, open-work design with bow and flower motifs decorated with cultured pearls and glistening pastes that simulate diamonds.
The Belle Époque, or the ‘Beautiful era’ spanned three distinct jewellery periods from 1890 -1915. This was a time of increasing wealth and flourishing arts across Europe and Belle Epoque pieces were worn as a sign of wealth and status.
The gallery is fashioned entirely in silver and is complete with French hallmarks on the back and pin. It’s in pristine condition and accompanied by its original box with blue velvet interior.
