NEW Marsblade R1 inserts with no rocking motion in the toes greatly affect the feel and performance of their roller hockey frames.
From Per Mars, the inventor:
The fact that there’s no movement in the front does not only provide more stability but also give a much lighter feel since you get the responsiveness you want when pushing off.
So these are ”Flat” in the front, so no rocker movement at all. During out testing and development of our performance products, R1 and our ice holders, first I1 and now I2 we saw in our testing that it’s important for maximizing energy transfer and speed to have that firm support when pushing off. This is why we designed the 5-flat and 10-flat inserts.
Our I2s are all ”flat” in the front. But the whole design is made so it’s not even possible to have rocker in the front. So the inserts for the I2s are only from the center and back.
In addition to increasing power transfer I’m pretty sure you’ll feel that they will feel lighter with these inserts. The front (and back) rocker, which originally was developed to create an instability to challenge your balance will also give a ”spongy” feel which then gives a ”heavier” feel if that makes sense…?
